Entropía Educativa Journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the academic record. We base our policy on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Retractions are a necessary tool to correct significant errors or address research misconduct that invalidates the results or conclusions of a published article.
The process is triggered upon suspicion of plagiarism, duplication, serious calculation errors, or data falsification. The steps are:
Receipt of substantiated allegations or internal detection of anomalies by the editorial committee.
A formal explanation is requested from the authors, and external reviewers or ethics experts are consulted if necessary.
The Editorial Committee decides whether retraction, expression of concern, or erratum is appropriate.
A "Retraction Note" linked to the original article is published. The original article will remain online but clearly marked as RETRACTED.
Editor-in-Chief
Final responsibility for the retraction decision after reviewing evidence.
Editorial and Scientific Committee
Act as a consultative body to evaluate the severity of ethical breaches or technical errors detected.
Authors
Have the duty to inform the journal if they detect involuntary errors in their work after publication.
