Generative AI Usage Policy

Editorial Position

Entropía Educativa Journal recognizes the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to assist in academic research and writing. However, their use must be governed by principles of transparency, responsibility, and scientific integrity.

Fundamental Rule:

AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) cannot be credited as authors of a manuscript, as they do not possess the legal or ethical capacity to assume responsibility for the published content.

Guidelines for Authors

Authorship and Responsibility

Authors are entirely responsible for the content of their work, including data accuracy, bibliographic citations, and absence of plagiarism. If AI was used to generate content or analyze data, this must be explicitly declared.

Declaration of Use

Authors must declare the use of AI in a specific section at the end of the manuscript (before references) or in the methodology body, specifying:

  • Name of the tool and version.
  • Purpose of use (e.g., style correction, translation, large text analysis).
  • How the accuracy of AI-generated results was validated.

AI Use by Reviewers

To ensure confidentiality and intellectual property rights, the journal establishes the following restrictions for reviewers:

  • Uploading received manuscripts for review into external AI tools is strictly prohibited.
  • The evaluation process must be the result of the assigned expert's critical human judgment.
Note: The use of AI in reviewing violates the confidentiality of the blind process by exposing unpublished data to third-party servers.

Editorial Oversight

The Editorial Committee of Entropía Educativa Journal employs various strategies to ensure compliance with this policy:

Detection Use of specialized software to identify AI generation patterns and plagiarism detection.
Action If undeclared AI use is detected, the manuscript may be rejected immediately.
