ARK Identifier Policy
What is the ARK identifier?
The Archival Resource Key (ARK) is a persistent identifier designed to identify information objects unequivocally and permanently on the web. Unlike conventional URLs, ARK identifiers are designed to withstand the passage of time and changes in technological infrastructure.
Entropía Educativa Journal implements the ARK system to ensure that every article, review, or scientific contribution has a persistent link guaranteeing its citation and long-term access.
Persistence Commitment
Our commitment to digital preservation includes:
- Link Permanence: Once an ARK is assigned to a digital object, the Journal commits to maintaining the active redirection, even if the website changes domain or structure.
- Identifier Resolution: Identifiers are resolved through global resolution services (such as n2t.net), ensuring international interoperability.
- Associated Metadata: Each ARK is linked to minimal descriptive metadata allowing resource identification even if the original object is temporarily inaccessible.
Structure of our identifiers
Entropía Educativa Journal ARK identifiers follow the international standard:
- NAAN: The Name Authority Archive Number assigned to our institution.
- Suffix: A unique alphanumeric code identifying the article and its volume/issue.
