The journal does not assume exclusivity or ownership over the articles, publishing them under its vocation of non-profit academic publication.
Authors are actively encouraged to disseminate, share, and publish the postprint or final versions of their work in academic networks, repositories, and personal websites, which contributes to increasing its impact and ensuring early recognition of the research, always citing the first edition in Entropía Educativa.
Entropía Educativa Journal is an academic publication edited in Bogotá, Colombia, that addresses the challenges and opportunities posed by new technologies and digital media in the educational field. Its purpose is to disseminate scientific knowledge and best practices in four interrelated fields: e-learning, digital communication, social and human sciences, and digital transmedia narrative. These areas of study are analyzed from a multidisciplinary and critical perspective, seeking to understand how they articulate and influence each other in different teaching and learning scenarios, both online and in-person, and how they can contribute to improving educational quality and innovation in the 21st century.
Publication Frequency
The journal has a biannual frequency, with issues published in June and December each year.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Double-Blind Peer Review Process
Its editorial process is based on the double-blind peer review system, following the publication standards of the American Psychological Association (APA 7th edition). This review method ensures that published articles have been subjected to rigorous, objective, and transparent scrutiny, granting them a high level of reliability and prestige.
The process includes:

Preservación a largo plazo
Todos los artículos publicados en Entropía Educativa son almacenados en formatos digitales estables (PDF/A y XML-JATS) que aseguran su integridad, legibilidad y accesibilidad a largo plazo. Se realizan copias de seguridad periódicas en servidores seguros, tanto locales como en la nube, para prevenir la pérdida de información.

Open and perpetual access
Entropía Educativa mantiene un compromiso con el acceso abierto y gratuito a todo su contenido. Los artículos seguirán siendo accesibles de forma permanente, incluso si la revista cesa sus operaciones, gracias a su inclusión en plataformas de preservación externas.
Los autores pueden autoarchivar las versiones pre-print y post-print de sus artículos en repositorios institucionales o temáticos, con la obligación de citar la fuente final de publicación.
Repository Policy
Entropía Educativa Journal actively promotes the free and responsible circulation of scientific knowledge. In accordance with the principles of open access, open science, and knowledge sovereignty, it establishes the following policy for depositing its contents in institutional, thematic, and digital preservation repositories.
Repository deposit
Entropía Educativa authorizes and encourages the deposit of all versions of articles (preprint, postprint, and final editorial version) in institutional, thematic, national, and international repositories, provided that copyright is respected and the original publication source is properly cited.
Articles may be deposited in:
- Institutional repositories of universities and research centers.
- Thematic repositories in areas of education, social sciences, humanities, and technology.

The journal uses the OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) protocol to facilitate the collection and dissemination of its metadata by repositories and indexing systems. This ensures the visibility, traceability, and reuse of published contents.
