The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) has undergone a shift from knowledge to know-how, and a change of perspective in education based on teaching-
learning, entailing a modification of evaluation methods and systems. Twenty years after the advent of podcasts, their proliferation has enabled their implementation in all types of environments and productive sectors, including those corresponding to pre-university and university training. To explore the potential of podcasting technology in the Humanities education, we examined the UNIVpodcast project, a teaching innovation initiative sponsored by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. This project was initiated during the 2022-2023 academic year and was subsequently extended from 2023-2024 to 2024-2025 due to the positive outcomes it produced. To enhance comprehension, an examination of the fundamental thematic domains of the project, the number and profile of participating students, and the content of the generated episodes has been conducted. To date, a total of 383 students have produced a variety of content through the creation of 126 podcasts, which have been mentored by 13 professors teaching subjects in third and fourth year undergraduate courses at seven public and private universities across four distinct autonomous communities in Spain.
